Our Premium recipes for March

Welcome to our March Recipes, which is our family friendly month. Here, we’ve come up with a series of family recipes that can be enjoyed by young and old alike, with some new takes on familiar classics, as well as a couple of dishes that will expand the palates of younger family members while still being attractive to adults.

In the news section of the site, James has written an article on his top tips for adding more nutrition in the family diet and getting the fussiest of eaters on board. You can read that here.

When it comes to the recipes, first up then is our new muffin-tin pizza pies you can see in main image here. These use our super-quick pizza dough, nutrition-packed tomato fondue and fresh mozzarella to create a portable treat that is great as either a party food or in lunch boxes. We’ve tested these (and all the recipes this month) on our own kids and these got a unanimous approval rating.

Mac-free mac ‘n’ cheese

Here we take a classic mac ’n’ cheese and replace the mac with some colourful veggies instead to produce a dish the kids will love, or that adults can use as a playful side dish. Cooked from scratch and without any heavy carbs, it’s a real winner and has become a firm favourite in both our houses!

Don’t get too caught up with the fancy name of this dish… we’ve used ground beef and venison here (though you can just use regular mince) to produce what is ostensibly a super-healthy and family-friendly version of burger and beans, that kids and adults alike will love.
