Brilliant Base Recipes

One of our missions is to increase the nutritional density of people’s meal times but to also reduce their overall effort in the kitchen, especially on week days when people are busy. Our Brilliant Bases are nutritionally dense, simple to execute and incredibly tasty in their own right, are our foundation blocks, from which we build, blend and bind to create a huge number of our Elevated recipes. Each Brilliant Base is designed to be made easily on the weekends, so you can use them through the week to create quick, delicious Elevated dishes.

Elevating Your Meals

Our number one priority at Elevated is to make it easier and more straightforward to cook and eat nutritionally dense meals.

 

We know how busy life can be and often, the easier option (which is usually also less than healthy!) wins when it comes to evening meals. We get it. 

So, we created Brilliant Bases as a way of batch cooking the foundation of your meal, so you can cook something quickly and easily during the week, safe in the knowledge that you’re also getting a huge serving of nutritional value too.

Making Cooking Easier & Healthier

Once you know how to make your Brilliant Bases, you can tailor-make and tweak the recipes according to what ingredients you can find and your own personal preferences, so you know 100% what is in them.

This means you can create your own Brilliant Bases taking into account your specific tastes or potential allergens and intolerances.

Aside from the Bone Marrow Broth, all our Brilliant Bases are vegan too, so they can be used in a wide range of dishes and cuisines.

We ensure that we use nutrient dense, anti-inflammatory and immune-supporting foods and that there is adequate protein and good fats with every meal.

Our recipes are designed to reduce and remove refined sugars and other processed, inflammatory foods to promote gut and overall health.

How To Use Brilliant Bases

As you plan out your week of meals ahead, find the Brilliant Bases you need to make - each base is designed to be used in a number of our recipes so you can batch cook in bigger quantities to get you through plenty of meals.

Each Brilliant Base takes 20-30 minutes of physical preparation time, and are then often left to cook low 'n' slow for 3-12 hours.

Once you have these in your armoury ( fridge freezer), you're ready to cook up a huge range of dishes 30-40 minutes. So, with a little extra work on the weekend, you can create fantastic, tasty, nutritional meals throughout the week!

For example our Tomato Fondue can be used to make our Skins n Things Potatoes, Vegan Meaty RaguPiri Piri ChickenGreek Vegan MoussakaRatatouillePatatas Bravas (Sweet Potatoes)Seafood Aqua PazzaCourgette pappardelle and much more!

Saturday

Use Saturday to plan out your weekly meals and get shopping! Make the most of deals, yellow labels and buying local to get the most for your money. For example, if you're using the Tomato Fondue Brilliant Base you can choose some of the related recipes for meals throughout the week. 

Sunday

Sunday is all about cooking and storing your Brilliant Bases. Start early so you have enough time to leave your bases to cook and for you to store them properly. For the Tomato Fondue, it only takes 20 mins of prep but then needs to cook for 4+ hours. 

Monday

Then choose from your planned meals drawing on your Brilliant Base that you cooked on Sunday. 


So for Monday, we can draw on the Tomato Fondue for our Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms. 

Tuesday

For Tuesday, why not try our Super-Quick cassoulet. 

Wednesday

Wednesday night can be Ratatouille the Elevated Way using the Tomato Fondue. 

Thursday

Thursday is great for our Mushroom & Aubergine Tagine that draws on the Tomato Fondue Brilliant Base too. 

Friday

Friday, of course, is a great day for the Super-quick Elevated Pizza. Draw on two Brilliant Bases here: our Tomato Fondue and the Quick pizza dough, topped with any left-over mushrooms from Thursday's Tagine or even bacon & sausages from the cassoulet.
