This quick family meal brings together a heap of Elevated dishes into one pot making a super-simple, high-protein option for a weekday evening if you have the Brilliant Bases to hand and some duck legs over from a previous meal (if you don’t like duck or don’t have any, simply remove it from the recipe).

Ingredients

  • 200g/7oz bacon off cuts 

  • 500g/18oz confit duck leg 

  • 250g/9oz chipolata sausages 

  • 200g/7oz BB Tomato Fondue or passata 

  • 200g/7oz BB Bone Marrow Broth or other stock 

  • 50g/1.8oz thyme 

  • 800g/28oz haricot or cannellini beans 

  • 200g/7oz wilted cavolo nero or spinach

Method

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180C/360F (fan) or 220C/430F (convection)

  2. Heat a solid-bottomed oven-proof pan (with a lid)

  3. Fry the bacon in its own fats until golden

  4. Add the sausages and brown

  5. Add the beans, herbs, BB Bone Marrow Broth and BB Tomato Fondue

  6. Place the lid on and bring to simmer

  7. Lift the lid and place the duck legs on top of the mix

  8. Place in the oven and cook for 20 minutes

  9. Remove, stir through the wilted greens and return to the oven for 10 more minutes
