Here we’re making our own ‘sun’-dried tomatoes using a fairly simple ‘cheat’ method of drying them out low and slow in an oven. Of course, if you’re lucky enough to live in a part of the world where its’ sunny, feel free to leave them in direct sunlight.

Method

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 50C/120F (fan)  or 70C/140F (convection)

  2. Chop and slice the tomatoes as per the video and leave either in sunlight or in a low oven to dry out
